Interaction with a Visiting French Research Scholar

On April 24, 2023  SIRP organised  an interactive session with Julien Guillot, a visiting French Research Scholar who is currently affiliated with SIRP. Julien is an MA student of  Sciences Po, Bordeaux and is  currently undertaking a field study in Kerala for his Master’s Degree Dissertation on the theme Politics and Campus Life of Students in MG University. During the session Julian talked about his experience of doing field research in Kerala and several challenges that he faced. He also discussed about the ethical aspects of doing anthropological studies and compared campus life of students in France and Kerala.  Dr. Bijulal, Assistant Professor chaired the session and Dr. Mathew Varghense, Assistant Professor SIRP had undertaken the role of a discussant. The students of SIRP had an hour long discussion with the French Scholar on various topics including campus life of students in France, Indian and Kerala Studies in France, Political Developments in France.
