SIRP has successfully completed the KSHEC Brain Gain Project instituted by Kerala State Higher Education Council, Govt. of Kerala, which envisages of bringing back the intellectual insights and resources of Keralites lives elsewhere in the world for the enhancement of academic & research output of state higher education institutions. Prof. T.V. Paul, James McGill Professor of International Relations in the Department of Political Science at McGill University was selected as the first KSHEC Brain Gain Scholar in Social Sciences. As a Brain Gain Scholar, Prof Paul was affiliated with SIRP (January-February 2023) and engaged in several academic activities at the school. During his stay in Kerala Prof. Paul also travelled across the state to deliver lecture, conduct academic workshop and interaction with with students, scholars and faculties of several academic institutions. Prof. C. Vinodan, Director and Professor, SIRP coordinated the Brain Gain Scholar Project.
Brief Bio of Prof. T.V. Paul
T.V. Paul is James McGill Professor of International Relations in the department of Political Science at McGill University. Paul specializes and teaches courses in international relations, especially international security, regional security and South Asia. He is the author or editor of 21 books and nearly 85 journal articles or book chapters. In September 2018, Paul became a Fellow (Elected) of the Royal Society of Canada.
