The Centre for West Asian Studies at the School of International Relations and Politics, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, will hold an insightful session as part of its Talk Series on Contemporary West Asian Politics, addressing current challenges, evolving dynamics, and potential future developments in the region. The event will be held online via Google Meet on October 30, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM IST.
The session, titled “Insidious Promises of God: Christian Zionism, Israel, and U.S. Foreign Policy,” will be presented by Hadje Cresencio Sadje, a research scholar from the University of Vienna, Austria. Mr. Sadje will explore the complex influences of Christian Zionism on the relationship between Israel and the United States, examining how this ideology impacts U.S. foreign policy in West Asia and the broader geopolitical landscape.
Dr. Sanand Sadanandan, a noted columnist on international affairs and Head of the Department of Political Science at MES Asmabi College, Kodungallur, Kerala, will chair the session. His opening remarks are expected to provide valuable context to the discussion, setting the stage for an engaging dialogue on these significant geopolitical forces.
