Call for Papers
On the occasion of celebrating the 50th anniversary of India-Republic of Korea diplomatic relations, the Korea Centre, Mahatma Gandhi University under the project (details) by Academy of Korean Studies, Seoul, Korea is organising a conference of young Indian Scholars working in the field of Korean Studies. The conference aims to assess the development of Korean Studies in India and promote it by showcasing the work of young scholars. This conference will serve as the basis for the publication of an edited collection of essays or a special journal issue or both that features the work of early-career Indian scholars, including PhD scholars, post-docs, or independent scholars, producing cutting-edge scholarship in the field of Korean studies. As the first attempt to promote young Korean Studies scholars, the conference will be organised under the theme, “Dimensions of Korean Studies in India: Exploring Alternative Perspectives”.
We invite young scholars to contribute papers in any topic relating to Korea/ India-Korea Relations/East Asia with a Korean focus/papers in any discipline with a Korean case study. An honorarium of Rs. 8000/- for each paper will be provided after its acceptance for publication. All papers will go through a rigorous peer-review process. An award of Rs. 25,000/- will be given to the ‘Best Paper’ selected by the reviewers.
