PhD Title: Drivers Of International Student Migration From Kerala: Inter Sectional Readings On Dual Identity.
This work is aiming to study the reasons for the recent surge in the number of students leaving to western countries for education. This outflow of youngsters is also marked by securing huge sums of loans from the home country, and working maximum hours in various part time jobs to pay back these debts in the host countries, making the education itself a subsidiary in the process of migration and their lives as an invisible laborer in host country is often overlooked. As debates on the effects of these huge exodus of youngsters are being raised in the social space in recent times, this research hopes to be a timely and scholastic work on the analysis of this phenomenon.
