INTERSECTIONAL RESISTANCE AND RELIGIOUS AGENCY OF WOMEN
Ph.D project studies the religious agency of women and its effects on certain form of resistances. It also gives comprehensive details to the definitions of ‘intersectionality’ and ‘resistance’. It explores the question of religious actors’ identity construction and especially addresses the agency of religious women. It also addresses the various discourses on the adoption of religious values from different perspectives. And gives a detailed description of women’s perspectives on certain forms of religious practices which is considered oppression by many. The course will explore how religious identity and values cloud understanding other forms of oppression.
