In a collaborative effort, the Centre for Migration Policy and Inclusive Governance (CMPIG), the School of International Relations and Politics, and the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB -CRG/2021/004314) orchestrated a thought-provoking student interaction program centred on the theme of “Research Opportunities in Migration.” The esteemed speaker for the event was Professor S Irudaya Rajan, renowned as the founder and chair of the International Institute of Migration and Development (IIMAD).
The program attracted an audience of approximately 40 individuals, comprising students, research scholars, and faculty members alike. Dr. Bijulal M V, Assistant Professor and Chairperson of the Centre for Migration Policy and Inclusive Governance, presided over the session. In his opening remarks, Dr Bijulal shed light on the remarkable contributions and scholarly endeavours of Professor S Irudaya Rajan within the realm of international migration, offering attendees invaluable insights into the subject matter at hand.
