Sirp Organized One-Day Seminar On “Chinese Foreign Policy” On 29 April 2009 In Collaboration With The Jinanuniversity, China. Among Those Who Attended The Seminar Included Prof. Jia Haitao, Director Of Chindian Studies, Jinan University, China, And Prof. Jiang Shuzhou, Vice President, Jinanuniversity. The Other Chinese Scholars Who Attended The Seminar Were Prof. Su Baogui, Deputy Dean Of Medical College, Prof. Yao Guoxiang, Dean Of College Of Information Science And Technology,  And Prof. Yu Huifen, Director Of International Affairs Office, Jinan University, China. 

The School Hosted A Two-Day National Seminar On Global Financial Crisis: Implications For India” On 12-13 January 2009. The Seminar Brought Together Scholars, Policy-Makers And Activists From Different Parts Of India. Considering The Importance Of The Focal Theme, The Seminar Was Organized In Association With The Ministry Of External Affairs, Government Of India, Centre For Trade And Development,New Delhi, And The School Of Social Sciences, Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. There Were 26 Resources Persons And 200 Participants In The Seminar. Dr. Rajan Gurukkal, Vice Chancellor, Mahatmagandhiuniversity Inaugurated The Seminar. Dr. Prabhat Patnaik, Professor Of Economics, Jawaharlal Nehru University (Jnu) And Vice Chairman, Keralastate Planning Board Delivered The Keynote Address.

A Three-Day International Conference On Emerging India: Strategic Options In The New Century Organised By The School Of International Relations And Politics, Mahatma Gandhi University In Association With The Ministry Of External Affairs, Government Of India And Thecentre For Trade And Development (Centad), New Delhi On 26-28 February 2008. The Conference Was Attended By A Number Of Scholars And Experts From India And Abroad. There Were About 250 Participants In The Conference. 35 Delegates Presented Papers In Various Sessions.

An International Conference On Intellectual Property Rights (Ipr) Was Organised By The School On 2-4 August 2006. The Theme Of The Conference Was India And The New Global Intellectual Property Rights (Ipr) Regime: Challenges, Opportunities And Options And It Brought Together A Number Of Scholars And Activists From India And Abroad. The Seminar Was Organised By The School In Association With The Ministry Of External Affairs, Government Of India, New Delhi, Department Of Science And Technology (Dst), New Delhi, Council For Scientific And Industrial Research (Csir), New Delhi; Gaps-Centre For Economic And Social Studies, Hyderabad And Centre For Trade And Development (Centad), New Delhi.

The First Lecture Was Delivered By Sri. Venu Rajamony, Ifs, Director, Disarmament And International Security Division, Ministry Of External Affairs, Government Of India On 1 June 2005. The Series Was Inaugurated By Prof. Jancy James, Vice-Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi.  The First Lecture Was Delivered On The Theme India-China-Us: Towards A Soft Balance Of Power System. 

The Second Diplomat Lecture Was Delivered On 17 February 2006 By Sri. T.P. Sreenivasan, Ifs, Diplomat And Former Indian Ambassador To Un On The Theme Indias Foreign Policy.
