The Other Chinese Scholars Who Attended The Seminar Were Prof. Su Baogui, Deputy Dean Of Medical College, Prof. Yao Guoxiang, Dean Of College Of Information Science And Technology, And Prof. Yu Huifen, Director Of International Affairs Office, Jinan University, China.
The School Hosted A Two-Day National Seminar On “Global Financial Crisis: Implications For India” On 12-13 January 2009. The Seminar Brought Together Scholars, Policy-Makers And Activists From Different Parts Of India. Considering The Importance Of The Focal Theme, The Seminar Was Organized In Association With The Ministry Of External Affairs, Government Of India, Centre For Trade And Development,New Delhi, And The School Of Social Sciences, Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. There Were 26 Resources Persons And 200 Participants In The Seminar. Dr. Rajan Gurukkal, Vice Chancellor, Mahatmagandhiuniversity Inaugurated The Seminar. Dr. Prabhat Patnaik, Professor Of Economics, Jawaharlal Nehru University (Jnu) And Vice Chairman, Keralastate Planning Board Delivered The Keynote Address.
A Three-Day International Conference On Emerging India: Strategic Options In The New Century Organised By The School Of International Relations And Politics, Mahatma Gandhi University In Association With The Ministry Of External Affairs, Government Of India And Thecentre For Trade And Development (Centad), New Delhi On 26-28 February 2008. The Conference Was Attended By A Number Of Scholars And Experts From India And Abroad. There Were About 250 Participants In The Conference. 35 Delegates Presented Papers In Various Sessions.
