The Understanding China Roundtable Discussion with Prof. Weidong Zhang was successfully held at the Institute for Contemporary Chinese Studies, Mahatma Gandhi University on February 11, 2026.

We were honored to host Prof. Zhang (Winona State University, USA & Fulbright Visiting Professor at MGU), who delivered an insightful and engaging discussion on contemporary China and its global dimensions. The session was chaired by Prof. C. Vinodan, Director, ICCS, whose remarks helped frame a thoughtful and productive dialogue.

The roundtable saw active participation from students and scholars, leading to meaningful exchanges, critical questions and enriching perspectives. Thanks to everyone who joined and contributed to the success of the program.
