




The Centre for Migration and Policy Inclusive Governance (CMPIG) distributed study materials to around sixty children of migrant workers studying at the Government LP School, Malayidamthuruthu, with the financial support of Kerala expatriate in Dubai, Ranjeet Roy Philip.
Speaking on the occasion, CMPIG Chairman Prof. Bijulal M. V. stated that migrant workers and their families play a crucial role in strengthening Kerala’s public education sector. He pointed out that during the previous academic year, 24,525 children of migrant workers were enrolled in public schools across the state, of whom 6,506 were from Ernakulam district.
The programme also included participation from Malayidamthuruthu Ward Member Shaiby Sugathan, Headmistress Shina Varghese, and Migrant Link Worker Supriya Debnath.
